OKBET Preview | OKBET Football Games
The OKBET Preview of Bundesliga’s return was largely successful, with games receiving record TV ratings in the United States, Germany, and elsewhere, as well as a 40 percent increase in wagers, according to one OKBET Football Games sportsbook.
Bettors had a good time, as I mentioned in my betting recap earlier this week. The public hammered the likes of Borussia Dortmund, Borussia Mönchengladbach, and Bayer Leverkusen, with the latter garnering nearly 90 percent of wagers in a 4-1 drubbing of hapless Werder Bremen on Monday.
Matchday 27 features a number of intriguing games, beginning with a Berlin Derby between Hertha Berlin and Union Berlin on Friday. In other news, Leverkusen travels to Gladbach in what is shaping up to be the game of the weekend and a pivotal game in the race for a place in the Champions League.
All of that will be covered here as I take a quick trip around Germany and break down what you need to know before placing your Bundesliga bets.
Please keep in mind that any wagers I discuss have not yet been made by myself at OKBET Preview. Some I will try, while others I will avoid. Consider this article a resource for your own capping needs. I’ve only placed one bet so far, which I’ll discuss in a moment.
There are also midweek games to consider after this weekend as the Bundesliga schedule becomes more crowded. There are four games on Tuesday, including a match between Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich, and five more on Wednesday before the weekend action begins on Friday.

Hertha Berlin Vs Union Berlin
Team | Moneyline | Spread | Total |
---|---|---|---|
Hertha Berlin | +135 | 0, -0.5 (EVEN) | OVER 2.5 (-115) |
Union Berlin | +215 | 0, +0.5 (-120) | UNDER 2.5 (-105) |
Draw | +230 | — | — |
Hertha Berlin got off to a fast start under new manager Bruno Labbadia, winning 3-0 away to Hoffenheim as +215 underdogs, while Union fell 2-0 to league leader Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga’s return at OKBET Preview.
Union won the first meeting 1-0 thanks to a Sebastian Polter goal earlier this season, but that was then. Perhaps Hertha, after some January spending, has found the right manager in Labbadia.
Players Who Are Missing and Questionable
Salomon Kalou (suspension), Karim Rekik, Hertha Berlin (knee)
Keven Schlotterbeck (suspension), Sheraldo Becker (torn muscle), Maurice Arcones (hamstring), Akaki Gogia (fitness), Laurenz Kehl (fitness), Yunus Mali (fitness), Union Berlin: (fitness)
Form
- Union Berlin: WLWDLL
- Hertha Berlin: LWLDDW
My Opinions
My gut tells me that Hertha might pick up some points in key spots to finish the season stronger than it started, and this could be one of them. Yes, Union won the reverse fixture, but with a new manager and some new talent on the roster, I’d back the hosts in some way.
Goalscorer at any time?
Matheus Cunha of Hertha Berlin was one of the players brought in during the January transfer window, and he’s been paying dividends. The Brazilian scored in back-to-back games before the league was suspended, but he continued right where he left off by scoring against Hoffenheim last weekend, and he’s +160 to do so again on Friday.
Gladbach vs. Bayer Leverkusen
The game of the week, without a doubt, and the fairly tight odds reflect how close this one could be on the field. Both teams impressed in their respective returns, with Gladbach defeating Frankfurt 3-1 and Leverkusen defeating Werder Bremen 4-1, thanks to a brace from Kai Havertz.
Gladbach leads Leverkusen by two points in the table, so three points for either side here is critical. Gladbach won the reverse fixture 2-1 in November. In fact, Gladbach has won three consecutive Bundesliga games against Leverkusen.
Players Who Are Missing and Questionable
Fabian Johnson (muscular issues), Denis Zakaria (Borussia Mönchengladbach) (knee)
Kevin Volland, Bayer Leverkusen (ligament tear)
Form
WDWLWW Borussia Mönchengladbach:
Bayer Leverkusen: WWWDWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW
My Opinions
Extremely difficult to call and a potential stay-away for me. Both teams have conceded just 31 goals this season, but Gladbach has the advantage in terms of goals with 52 to Leverkusen’s 49.
Having said that, with the better price on Leverkusen, it’ll be difficult not to back the visitors, especially since they’ll have the best player on the field in Havertz at OKBET Preview.
Goalscorer at any time?
Take your pick from the array of attacking talent on display. Allasane Pléa of Gladbach scored within seconds of kickoff last weekend, and he also scored away to Leverkusen last season.
Pléa is around +140, while Havertz, who scored two headers in Monday’s victory, is around +150. Regardless, both teams have players who can score all over the field.
